Good Morning
I woke up this morning to a glorious thunderstorm at 6 something. Hugo’s room has a vaulted ceiling so the sound of the rain is delightful when it comes down like that. It’s still rumbling off to the south east of us now and it feels like spring outside, even though I know better.
I had my grapenuts for breakfast, am currently drinking my green tea, and am pondering on all the things that have to be done today.
I think I’d like to start with making the bed. Then I guess I should dry my hair. Wow, I am boring.
I installed Money 2005 last night and have been playing with it like a dork with a new everquest expansion. I guess it’s just me being a Virgo or something. When I was younger, my family, Nana especially, would buy me organizers, file folders, pens, calculators, notebooks, and graph paper. I ♥ ‘d it so so so so much. I would spend hours making charts and lists and laying out floor plans for furniture to houses I didn’t have. I’d make square after square of my room and try to figure out the most efficient use of my tiny room and then beg my parents to let me move it around. It didn’t happen till I was nearly 16, but hey.
So needless to say, when I’m in top form, I’m my happiest. Top form is organized to the point of being obnoxious to others. Oddly enough, Hugo is the exact same way. The fact that we’re both totally scattered and totally miserable ATM isn’t a coincidence.
I’m trying to help change all that though, with what little I have to offer.
First thing on my agenda. Nail my finances to the floor. In money I setup a cash account, checking, savings, and gas. I’m going to track everything and see where the leak is. I think i know where…in fact of course I know where…but since I seem to be unable to stay away from Amazon.com and the iTunesMusicStore…I may very well be fucked. Futility is fun.
