Vegan Challenge - Day 16
I contacted Atlanta Bread Company on Saturday to see what on their menu was vegan and what wasn’t. Sadly, my tomato soup of DELIGHT is so not vegan. Happily, my favorite bread, nine grain, is.
They were very responsive to my concerns and reacted positively; they had a fact sheet all ready to go and everything. The nice woman who responded directly to me also sent me a copy of the nutritional information for the tomato soup. This means that I now have allllll the ingredients for this soup and can make it at home…in a large pot….and eat it all with a straw while I watch Blades of Glory on Friday. Propylene Glycol Monostearate….what in the hell is that….
Hah. And now for your edification:

I think that it is really awesome that they provided that information, some places you could probably say “vegan” and they’d be like “yeah this one doesn’t have meat in it.” I wonder if we can get some information like that from some other places around town.
You should ask Taco Bell next.
you know, just for kicks
I am so glad you shared this. I’ve been vegan for a few months and have started a new job were there is only 1 place I can eat out at that has vegan options.
I’ve been wondering if Atlanta Bread Company had any vegan options outside of the California sandwich. I am happy I can have their soup!
I’m surprised that they gave you this information so readily. Even the recipe for one of their soups! It’s not often that companies will do that. More reason to like it then!
I would wonder if their ‘Honey Wheat’ is vegan –does it contain no honey?
