every now and then, myspace is good for something, but god it is so rare that i question the validity of its existence.

i am so full of busy right now. i am hesitant to talk about it because it seems when i do that someone out there in internet land does some eyerolling or something and funky mojo gets flung at my head. then it gets all fucked up. Or. maybe i just suck and can’t keep my shit together any longer than it takes me to write a post. regardless…the awesome…it will rock.

i am re-reading the circle within at night right now. this month has been a book devouring extravaganza. kushiel’s scion. harry potter. vegan cupcakes. principles of beautiful web design. 12 secrets of highly creative women. my wishlist was explosive so i nipped and tucked it into submission. now only 2 pages! *gasp*

i bought another 3 books today via amazon, because i really can’t get enough. i’ve also got a nice sized stack of books that need to be sold. one of them is earth path and i feel like such a failure, but i must be honest with myself. i can’t stand starhawk. sorry, starhawk. i am going to earthfare tomorrow to get supplies for the master cleanse i’m starting this weekend. i thought about going grocery shopping tonight, but i will make due with what we’ve got until the end of the cleanse. 10 days without food is going to be … interesting.

last night i made something super delicious. we had some sliced, frozen bread in the freezer. i stuck a few pieces in the oven under the broiler to toast it up a bit. after it was browned, i tossed it in the food processor. add earth balance, rosemary, thyme, salt. tada. stuffing. then i tossed some cream of mushroom soup over it and some yellow squash. more time in the oven. it was rather delish but SNV™.†

there is going to be lots and lots of awesome things coming soon. i am really excited. it occurs to me suddenly that i have a vast number of things to attend to….right now.

i couldn’t wait until i had time to venture out into the world, so i bought the new Tiger Army on iTunes. (Hastings said they weren’t going to have it so why waste the gas driving all over when amazon and i are such friends…)

i was unable to listen to the album until i played the Where the Moss Slowly Grows (Jade Puget Remix) bonus track. Oh….oh….

if this is any indication of what is coming from jade and davey in our (very??pls!) near future, then i am nothing but excited.

oh and the TA album is fuckin rad as my amy’s pot pie, too. (That’s really rad, btw.)

You know what? This Blaqkaudio track is goddamn fantastic. I’m a pretty big fan of electronic music. Dance. Industrial. Trance. SynthPop. Whatever. It’s my scene, you could say, if i had one.

I’m rather excited for this album. Grim’s eyes might roll right out of his head, but I think it will be rather delightful. By delightful I mean grab you by your jacobs and rip your heart out on the dancefloor.

anyway, i found a Digital Scrapbooking magazine at Kroger yesterday. I was amazed in that they decided to call what i have been doing for years digital scrapbooking. Another hobby with a proper name instead of “that one thing i do to waste hours and hours.” that file folder is getting rather plump.

the magazine is pictures of people’s brats mostly, layered with brushes and patterns and scans of lace and ribbon. very betty crocker meets deviant art. my portfolio is filled with buttcracks, rust, circus freaks, and midgets flipping the bird.

i like to think it sets me apart. i’m thinking of submitting some of my pieces. heh.

i’ve been so fucking productive lately i feel kinda weird. I’ve gotten ALL and i do mean ALL the laundry done. I make the beds every morning. I get up when i wake up (which can be as early as 4:30am) and workout. I am focused. I make dinner every night. I work consistently and efficiently. I am good at solving problems easily.

i had a friday thirteen prepared last week 2 days ahead of time…because i have been THAT productive and mindful. until friday when i forgot to actually put it up. way to show off.

In short, i’ve felt like someone else this past week; me. i’m rather taken with me. i hope i stick around.

Last night i learned the power of cornstarch in asian (and well, any) cooking. I need some dark sesame oil, rice vinegar, and some pure non GMO soy oil. i am smitten with stirfry at the moment. i wish i had a wok. fried rice!!!!

i’m going back to work now.

Thirteen Things On My First AFI Concert

1. I was shocked at how short and thin Davey was. Eat something, dear!
2. Jade can juggle. Holy crap how adorable are these boys allowed to get?
3. Jade produced the opening band’s album. I have heard these guys on XM… I thought they sounded familiar.
4. Loved the very flamboyant and theatrical flailing done by davey at the beginning of the show
5. I need a lip ring, stat
6. Is Hunter always that irritating?
7. Two words: Guitar Erection. One descriptive phrase: in my face.
8. Davey fell back into the crowd because they were fucking up his crowd walk or something. He didn’t seem like he was really wanting to do it, but he did it anyway.
9. I saw Jade look up only 1 time. The rest of the time he was using his eyes to hump davey or staring at his guitar. Way to be obvious.
10. Do they teach you how to be obsessed with how your mic cord is wrapped around your forearm at rockstar camp…or is that something special from mr havok?
11. Jade’s hair is much larger than life than i expected.
12. That jump looked like it hurt.
13. I would swear on a stack of chocolate i saw a tear during This Time Imperfect. It was too early in the set for sweat.

What is this? I admittedly ripped this idea off from the thursday thirteen. why? cause i think friday thirteen sounds a whole lot cooler than thursday.
