doing

i had gotten my reading list whittled down to basically nothing and now i am back up to 5 books. ahh.

i think next weekend i am going to make apricot almond cupcakes, so if you are randomly gifted in person with cupcakes…its just because i don’t want to get hideously fat by eating them all. i wouldn’t share if they sucked. probably going to tackle that friday night. in the mean time … laundry. grocery shopping. yelling at dogs. cleaning. reading. gaming.

project

things are going well with the podcast studio. i recorded the intro to my first show and then…audacity crashed. hahaha. it sounded way too scripted anyway, which it was. whenever i get in front of the mic…i freeze and there are a lot of uhh and mmm well . . . . . . moments. my voice has changed a lot since the last time i listened to it. it’s not as grating as i remember. everyone is freaked out by their own voice in the beginning though…or so i am told.

farm

i messed up last night while playing harvest moon. i pressed the z button on the 3rd controller. someone said it reveals all hidden items. i had no idea what that meant…but what it does it puts every single item you could possibly ever have and as many of them as you could ever have in your rucksack. i ended up holding a record (vinyl, lp) that i couldn’t put away, throw away, or put down.

that was really not what i intended. i started over this morning on a new farm. i liked my names so i kept them the same. Vesu (normal female cow), Vasa (star bull), Cluck (hen), Sev(rooster), Meier(horse), Nox(puppy)… I think this time i’ll be able to get sheep. i wish there were goats. i love goats.

i am weaning myself off of autofocus. i prefer the speed of AF, but it’s really not accurate sometimes, especially when i am in a hurry. i figured i might as well just stop using it and get faster at manually focusing. i am going to force myself to stop buying stupid little shit so i can save up and buy a new lens. This one is currently on my mind, but i have a whole list of others that i want just as much. i wish i could be satisfied with an inexpensive hobby…like breathing.

now i am going to the grocery store. have a good sunday, everyone.

You know what? This Blaqkaudio track is goddamn fantastic. I’m a pretty big fan of electronic music. Dance. Industrial. Trance. SynthPop. Whatever. It’s my scene, you could say, if i had one.

I’m rather excited for this album. Grim’s eyes might roll right out of his head, but I think it will be rather delightful. By delightful I mean grab you by your jacobs and rip your heart out on the dancefloor.

anyway, i found a Digital Scrapbooking magazine at Kroger yesterday. I was amazed in that they decided to call what i have been doing for years digital scrapbooking. Another hobby with a proper name instead of “that one thing i do to waste hours and hours.” that file folder is getting rather plump.

the magazine is pictures of people’s brats mostly, layered with brushes and patterns and scans of lace and ribbon. very betty crocker meets deviant art. my portfolio is filled with buttcracks, rust, circus freaks, and midgets flipping the bird.

i like to think it sets me apart. i’m thinking of submitting some of my pieces. heh.

i’ve been so fucking productive lately i feel kinda weird. I’ve gotten ALL and i do mean ALL the laundry done. I make the beds every morning. I get up when i wake up (which can be as early as 4:30am) and workout. I am focused. I make dinner every night. I work consistently and efficiently. I am good at solving problems easily.

i had a friday thirteen prepared last week 2 days ahead of time…because i have been THAT productive and mindful. until friday when i forgot to actually put it up. way to show off.

In short, i’ve felt like someone else this past week; me. i’m rather taken with me. i hope i stick around.

Last night i learned the power of cornstarch in asian (and well, any) cooking. I need some dark sesame oil, rice vinegar, and some pure non GMO soy oil. i am smitten with stirfry at the moment. i wish i had a wok. fried rice!!!!

i’m going back to work now.

i didn’t realize how smart my scanner was. i thought it was going to take an eternity for me to scan, crop, resize, and upload all these photos. turns out that when i put 2 in on the glass it saw there were 2 distinctly different images, cropped them accordingly (sorta), and saved them as unique files. goddamn, i love technology.

also if you don’t have this…. you should get it. i hated iPhoto like it was a boil on my ass. grim introduced me to JetPhoto Studio and i have used it on a daily basis ever since. what is nice is that the scanner scans to a folder, so i just go to the folder, add .album to the end of it and suddenly JetPhoto Studio knows that it’s a set. i can double click on the album, upload to flickr, and be off on my way. oh, internet, you are sex.

Moving on! this is me being nice and not totally fucking your layouts all to hell.
