exhausted
you don’t realize how much stuff you have until you have to move…or lose it all in a fire.
Not that i would equate losing a hard drive to having our house, gods forbid, burn down…but its rather stressful putting all the pieces back together. i’ve partitioned my new 400gb into 2 drives. The second one has a COMPLETELY virgin 10.4.0 install on it that i used to image my core boot drive. It also will have a really neat defragging utility installed on it as soon as i lay my hands on it.
the nice thing about having to redo your machine is that you get all the latest and greatest software. the new firefox is very neato. it has spell checking…in the text box…as i type here in WP. that’s a feature i have longed for for quite some time. good job, guys!
i’m feeling rather disillusioned with everything, as a whole, this week. i’ve been taking an inordinate amount of it out on hugo and he called me on it last night. it doesn’t take much to set me off on a good day, let alone after a solid week of bullshit depression, anxiety, and rage. \
it is friday and i have a clean computer. it’s 50° outside, sunny, gorgeous and the air is filled with the sound of birds chirping. doesn’t get much better.
i had the first roll of holga film developed…very uninteresting and i obviously need more practice. i’ll scan them tonight and upload to flickr. digital has spoiled the living shit out of me and it shows. i went to kroger to pick up some polaroid film and jesusgay i had no idea it cost that much. $22 for 10? Seriously….i’d rather photoshop the images that come out of the rebel. asking the internet for a better price isn’t out of the question either.
i haven’t figured out how to load it either. heh.
i sat down to write this with a definite purpose and that purpose was to write something interesting. i believe i may have missed the mark…a touch. i will distract you from the fact that this entry sucks with…..cute puppy cookie face!
