Papaw’s people are from North Carolina, my favorite place.

Nana was born in Brooklyn, NY. I’ve always wanted to see where she grew up. I’m afraid it might be in the ghetto…or worse…might not exist.
Grandpa was born a few miles from where I grew up. They recently tore down his childhood home.

My Great-grandfather invented the thing that helps you open cigarettes, packs of gum and dog food.
My Great-grandmother was the most fabulous, classy, and stylish person I never met.

On the other side, my Great-grandfather had a cool name, but I’m told he was an asshole.
On the other side, my Great-grandmother lived a really really long time.

I don’t really know about anyone else.
