This was my first attempt. Some insanity occurred towards the right. You can see the yarn has basically given up wanting to live and has unraveled. Not too many glaring mistakes in the middle areas. both edges and corners look like they have exploded.

i don’t even know what happened here…one minute i am knitting and not feeling too bad about it and suddenly i look down and all hell has broken loose and i can’t figure out how to make it right. again, not too much going wrong in the middle.

and here we have arrived at what is currently on my needles, bless em. i’m keeping it together so far, however there is some fucked up shit going on in the middle areas. and towards the right…i really don’t know what is going on other than i am coming up with some *very* creative swears directed at spun cotton. I think my main problem here was i tried to work in the tail so one end is sorta lumpy and deformed.

this one, if i can manage to not rip it off the needle and feed it to wildlife, will probably be suitable for emergency toilet paper or a firestarter.
