how else could you have turned out in the exact environment in which you grew up? Personality, tastes, ambitions, opinions, and otherwise?

I could have never:
picked up a camera, listened to or liked electronic music, learned how to type, gotten rid of all those nasty people, stopped drawing, started writing, adopted a dog, used my brain…

I could have:
wanted the boys to notice me, been a mother, been a wife, picked up a terrible accent, joined the military, gone to college, dropped out of college, changed my major, been the valedictorian, needed an intervention, had an employer matching 401k, taken gym class seriously, voted, been a happier kid…

but if i am honest…there is no way it could have gone any differently than it did. there are people who say that we bring things into our lives…we manifest the situations that shape us whether they are joyful or sorrowful. I don’t think we choose for people to die. I don’t think we choose to have a car accident…but I would like to think that positively…I have attracted or lassoed some amazing people, moments, and things for myself. Things that have helped me up and over any and every hurdle…things that showed up at just the right time.
