…to my FIVE HUNDREDTH post. *throws confetti*
.Mac
I have been trying to figure out how to keep my mobile devices and my stationery devices synchronized and it has been …driving me nuts. None of the services I looked at were reliable enough to suit me. The one service that was reliable enough was staring me in the face but I consistently overlooked it.
.Mac has only failed me in one aspect. It doesn’t *truly* synchronize your email. One would assume from the way their website and technicians talk that if you download a message on your desktop machine, hit Sync, and then turn around and hit sync on your mobile unit that the message will be there. I’m sure you can already guess that it doesn’t. The only email account that is truly sync’d with .Mac is your @mac.com address.
My solution? Forwarding addresses and multiple accounts. The nice thing about the world today is that data storage is dirt cheap. I have three true mailboxes and one address that I give out publicly. The address forwards to the mailboxes which I check with my mobile devices on a regular basis.
What does .Mac do right? Oh it does so well. It syncs your smart mailboxes, your rules, signatures, bookmarks, RSS feeds, address book, and your iCal information. I opened up Bento this evening and it asked me if I would like to backup my Bento database. Why I SURE WOULD….straight to my iDisk. Safe and sound in a data center far far away.
Now I know that I can effectively get some work done now that I know I really can.
moving day.
The house is nearly empty. It’s just about time. I am nervous because it means the question of “Are we there yet??” is going to be answered very, very soon.
More interesting things at a later time. Here I Go.

Oh, you were a vampire, and baby, I’m nothin’ at all - Bloodletting - Concrete Blonde
why i do all that i do…?
- Though affable and sympathetic to most, INFJs are selective about their friends. Such a friendship is a symbiotic bond that transcends mere words.
- readily grasp the hidden psychological stimuli behind the more observable dynamics of behavior and affect
- find themselves caught between the desire to express their wealth of feelings and moral conclusions about the actions and attitudes of others, and the awareness of the consequences of unbridled candor
- under stress may fall prey to various forms of immediate gratification
- deeply concerned about their relations with individuals as well as the state of humanity at large
- will suddenly withdraw into themselves, sometimes shutting out even their intimates
- have the clearest insights of all the types into the motivations of others, for good and for evil
- tend to have strong writing skills
- INFJs write and communicate well because they want to formulate their ideas clearly. They place high regard on their reader and audience. They seek to communicate their ideals to others. When their ideals need to be championed, they speak up in an enthusiastic and impassioned way.
- However, one would do well not to underestimate the amount of perseverance, energy, and time INFJs give to their priorities. What they do, they do with an almost religious intensity.
